Vasart Glass was made by Ysart Brothers Glass (later Vasart Glass Ltd) at the Shore Glassworks in Scotland between 1946 and 1964. The Company was set up by Salvadore Ysart and his two sons Augustine and Vincent after they left Moncrieff Glassworks where they had designed and made Monart glass. This small posey bowl (shape B015) in the shape of a gentleman’s upturned hat with a folded brim was made between 1946 and 1956. It consists of blue glass fading down to pink encased in clear glass with many bubbles introduced during the manufacturing process. The base carries a rough polished pontil scar and a freehand acid etched signature.

Height 2 9/16th inches (6.5 cm) Diameter 2 1/2 inches (6.4 cm) and 4 5/16th inches (11 cm) across the brim at the widest point.
