An Edwardian silver cased perfume bottle. The pressed glass bottle carries the name ‘Johann Grossmith’ to one side and has many small bubbles, inclusions and manufacturing frit. It is contained in a fitted hexagonal silver case made by Levi and Salaman heavily embossed with garlands, leaves and flowers. It carries a raised cartouche on the face and rear side and hallmarks for the maker L & S, an anchor (Birmingham) and date letter ‘c’ for 1902. The stopper is a twist fit, constructed of glass with a heavy plain domed, inverted onion shaped silver top.
