From the WHITEFRIARS Japanese Inspired Collection ‘White Crane’ paperweight designed by Linda Campbell and introduced in 2003 for Caithness. It is a standard spherical weight, issued as a limited edition of 100 (Closed) this is number 72. It is cut with a single horizontal viewing facet, a rear etched facet, 3 vertical 3-slice leaf cuttings and a star burst cutting radiating from the base. The interior consists of lamp-worked green and white irises with a white ‘Hooded Monk’ cane at the base of the far right flower stem. The rear facet is acid etched with a standing white crane and additional reeds and water ripples. The base is freehand diamond point inscribed Whitefriars Japanese White Crane Caithness Scotland 72/100.  Depth: 2 3/16^th inches (5.5 cm) Diameter: 3 3/16^th inches (8.1 cm) at widest point
